What do you think of the movie "The Tree of Life"?

Personally, I loved it. It was a very fantastic movie in my opinion and I felt like watching the story of my own life while watching the film. I just don't see understand why a lot of people did not like it. In fact, some people who were with me literally walked out of the theater halfway through the film.
