In my documentary,would it be considered illegal if we referenced...?

Hollywood? In general? Like if one of the main themes of the film was to document peoples' feelings about certain practices that go on in Hollywood, or the film industry in general? Many opinions are likely to be negative, but some may be positive. As long as we don't mention directors' names, movies, etc. would we be alright?
