Personifications of Death in films.?

I watched a movie quite a long time ago about a woman being the personification of death and she appeared to a man and told him he was going to die soon... I'm not sure if that is the exact case but it must be similar to that. If there's anyone who knows what this movie is called or can give me some more information about it I'd be forever grateful. I've been looking for this movie for ages now...
