Canon Powershot SX20 IS question?

So i film a video on it, and wanted to edit it with windows movie maker, and it wouldnt let me use it with the editing system, like i cant even view it on my windows movie player on my computer, and i was wondering if anyone knew why this is happening and if they can help me
