Can someone explain me this course?

It doesn't sound like an acting course. From the description, I would guess there will probably be a lot of free-thought discussions and writing. You would most likely be graded on your effort and participation in discussion, not on specific knowledge. If discussing various types of art is something you are interested in, you should go for it.
