Need help with Homecoming Outfit?

I'm going to be a sophmore (2nd homecoming). First was a disaster and I felt like a little kid. Have hair that comes just below chin (Brown, dark). Tannish skin. Want to go for an edgy look. I love dark colors and reds and such. Big vampires and horror film fan. Homecoming is in a few months and I am planning. BTW i am looking for a short dress.
